What is a conveyor toaster?
The bread in conveyor toasters passes through a series of heating elements in a chamber on a chain driven belt. Moreover, Conveyor toasters can be horizontal or vertical, the latter mainly intended for high-volume operations.
With the unit, customers can select slow or fast speeds for the conveyor belt. Which accelerates the toasting process exactly as they like it. If the conveyor toaster moves faster, the toast will be lighter; if it moves slower, the toast will be darker. Using the second dial, an operator can choose between four elements: bread, buns, standby, or off. While the bread setting toasts both sides of the bread to perfection, the bun setting toasts only one side for a more subtle crunch. By reducing the power of elements under standby, you can conserve energy while reducing preheat time when the restaurant is busy.
Toasted bread is fed through the top chute and deposited into the delivery chute when the conveyor toaster is powered on. The toaster can toast the bread a second time with a pass-through/back delivery chute to achieve a darker, richer toast. Additionally, the toaster has legs that raise it off the counter, making it easier to clean the counter of bread crumbs.
